Word/figurative mark

Word/figurative mark contains graphic elements and Latin characters. The registration may also be made in color.

Often, word and figurative marks are applied for if the word element alone does not meet the requirements for registrability. For example, the term “banana” can be registered for the product “fruit” if the term is particularly graphic. The protection of such a trademark, however, only applies to the entire trademark. Despite registration, no right can then be derived from the word “banana” alone.
